6th National Scottish Medical Education Conference
Sahib Tuteja, a 3rd year medical student with Dr Andrew Blaikie, recently presented a poster at the 6th National Scottish Medical Education Conference in Edinburgh. Their research aimed to evaluate the Arclight, a low-cost alternative to traditional direct ophthalmoscopes, to see whether it was suitable for use in medical student training.
The School of Medicine aims to increase emphasis on ophthalmology training from the upcoming academic year by encouraging students to buy their own Arclight, with the belief that increased ownership would lead to increased practice of this essential clinical skill.
