Erica Sanga

Dr Erica Sanga is a research scientist and community engagement personnel, working with the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR)-Mwanza Centre in Tanzania. She is a public health specialist holding Master’s and Doctorate in Public health.  She has more than fifteen years of experience in research in the field of HIV and Tuberculosis.  Her research draws on various disciplinary perspectives and using qualitative and quantitative approaches from health facilities and community based studies. Erica has strong abilities in research coordination, project management, community engagement and mobilization. Her interest in research is to improve health service accessibility especially in rural settings and hard to reach populations. Her research projects involve strong collaboration with other stakeholders in health such as policymakers and implementing partners local and international. Erica have applied and won some grants, published and presented at local and international conferences. In this study (StAAHR) Erica Sanga will participate in social science and community engagement capacity building.
