Experimental Biology Conference
Undergraduate student Yvonne Giesecke recently travelled to Chicago to attend the Experimental Biology Conference 2017 to present some of her research. Yvonne said
It was such a great opportunity to present some of my undergraduate research at a big international conference. I attended many talks from experts in the field, which was a great inspiration for further research. Generally it was a really helpful experience to present my research to a critical audience of other researchers and to discuss further research methods that could be used. I was also nominated as a finalist for the undergraduate poster prize of the American Association of Anatomists. My poster was assessed by a panel during my regular poster presentation time. I received a great feedback which will definitely be helpful for any presentations in my further career. I was also extremely happy to be awarded the second prize for my presentation. Overall attending the conference in Chicago has been a really important experience and opportunity for me.
I would also like to thank both of my supervisors for this project: Dr John Lucocq (University of St Andrews School of Medicine) and Dr Kerim Mutig (Charite Universitaetsmedizin Berlin).
