Simulation Tools for Eye & Ear Care Training
The Arclight Project has developed several different types of simulation eyes and ears for training then assessing knowledge and skills. The direct ophthalmoscopy eyes have been evaluated and considered more ‘real’ than very expensive traditional kit. Combined with the Arclight they offer an important means to maintain quality remote teaching. In addition to direct ophthalmoscopy eyes the team has developed hemi-spherical simulation fundi for binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy and retinal laser training and assessment.
