On 7 September, LINK Orthopaedics hosted a one-day course for practising orthopaedic surgeons at the School of Medicine. The programme catered to surgeons wishing to further familiarise themselves with the LINK® Lubinus SPII® hip implants and instrumentation.

Delegates travelled from Tayside and the South of England to attend the course, led by experienced hip surgeon Mr Andy Ballantyne. Mr Ballantyne is Clinical Director of Trauma and Orthopaedics at the new state-of-the-art elective treatment centre at Victoria Hospital, NHS Fife.

During the course, delegates were able to perform a cemented total hip replacement in a simulated surgical environment and learn techniques for ensuring the best patient outcome with the Link hip stem.

The School was delighted to host LINK Orpthopaedics for such a successful course and looks forward to further collaboration in future!
