Prof. Cotton appointed as UGHE Vice Chancellor
On 16 February, the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) announced the appointment of Honorary Professor Philip Cotton as its next Vice Chancellor. Prof. Cotton will officially transition into the role on 8 April.
UGHE is a health sciences university in Kigali, Rwanda. An initiative of Partners In Health, an international non-profit public health organisation headquartered in Boston, MA, it was founded in 2015.
Reflecting on Prof. Cotton’s appointment, UGHE Board Chair Dr Joseph Rhatigan said: “[Prof. Cotton’s] exceptional track record of building collaboration, driving innovation in education, and empowering communities through education aligns with UGHE’s mission to train the next generation of global health leaders.”
