Clinical PhD candidate recognised at palliative care conference
At the fourth online Marie Curie Research Conference, held from 4-9 February, Clinical Research Fellow Dr Sarah Bowers was named runner up for the Tammy Prescott Patient and Public Involvement Award. This award recognises best practice Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in research or policy projects. Dr Bowers received it for her work on her clinical PhD project entitled, “How do people with long-term conditions use and experience healthcare in the last year of life?” Her Public Advisory Group, who have been instrumental in motivating and shaping her research, accepted the award on her behalf.
