Using evidence and values in healthcare means considering what influences us as decisions are made -whether we are clinicians, academics, policymakers – or patients. We are interested in ways to ensure that patients get access to the best possible care, and the most appropriate tests and treatments. Because many types of bias can impact on all of these, including the way that data can be presented to us, we are interested in ways that can help us and our decision making, especially when under pressure.

A programme of upskilling, events, and policymaker support is organised by the multi-disciplinary Centre for Evidence and Values in Healthcare. The Centre conducts research targeting specific areas where, for example, misinformation,  or conflicts of interest can pose potential risks to patient care.
