On 28 November, Milla Marinova, founder and CEO of R8ER, delivered a Mackenzie Institute seminar entitled, ‘Clinical Entrepreneurship: Getting Started, the Innovation Journey, and How to Raise Investment.’

Milla is a medical doctor and Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London. Her company R8ER is the world’s first professionally vetted digital evaluation platform for disruptive healthcare, connecting technology with investment. Her interests lie in building supportive and informed processes to expedite technological advancement in healthcare. Her talk drew on her company’s experience guiding healthcare start-ups through the process of communicating their ideas accessibly to suitable investors.

“Milla provided us in her talk with lots to consider,” said Mackenzie Co-Directors Prof. Peter Donnelly and Prof. Frank Gunn-Moore. “The road from start up to successful business is rocky, steep and twisting. Understanding that is an important step in planning that journey. Both the talk and follow up discussions at Eden provided valuable insights and we hope to welcome her back soon for further discussions.”
