less lab based<\/li>\n<li><i>PhD: <\/i>in Medicine from the\u00a0University of Dundee in 2012<\/li>\n<li><em>Job opportunities with research throughout career:<\/em> Cambridge (work alongside a professor), Edinburgh (with psychiatry)<\/li>\n<li><em>Attitudes people have this type of job:<\/em> \u201cExtinct species\u201d \u2013 assumption you don\u2019t see patients, pressure to be either one or the other in current medical environment<\/li>\n<li><em>Current week rota: 2<\/em> days research, 2 days clinical, 1 day research &amp;
