- Field of research: Addiction medicine – less lab based
- PhD: in Medicine from the University of Dundee in 2012
- Job opportunities with research throughout career: Cambridge (work alongside a professor), Edinburgh (with psychiatry)
- Attitudes people have this type of job: “Extinct species” – assumption you don’t see patients, pressure to be either one or the other in current medical environment
- Current week rota: 2 days research, 2 days clinical, 1 day research & development (now handed over)
