Training
No formal training is required to become a Patient Partner volunteer; however, all volunteers are required to complete an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training module.
This ensures that all volunteers are equipped to create a respectful and inclusive learning environment for medical students and fellow volunteers. Understanding diverse patient experiences is essential in medical education, and EDI training helps reinforce the principles of fairness, dignity, and respect within the teaching setting.
