{"id":78,"date":"2015-06-11T14:16:59","date_gmt":"2015-06-11T13:16:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medicinedev.st-andrews.ac.uk\/?p=78"},"modified":"2015-06-11T14:16:59","modified_gmt":"2015-06-11T13:16:59","slug":"golf-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medicine.st-andrews.ac.uk\/news\/golf-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Golf competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.st-andrews.ac.uk\/medicine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2015\/06\/Scene.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-84 size-medium alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/med.st-andrews.ac.uk\/medicine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/06\/Scene-300x193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"193\" \/><\/a>Around 40 of our colleagues, ex-colleagues and commercial partners attended an intensive day long course at Balbirnie Golf Club (just outside Glenrothes) on Thursday 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June.\u00a0 Under the expert guidance of Gordon Cramb, a number of breakout groups were dispatched at 8 minute intervals with the objective of minimising strokes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This annual meeting has often been held at times when there have been significant challenges as exemplified by the Yetts o\u2019 Muckhart cyclone when the rain defied gravity and tracked vertically up trouser legs or the Forfar flood disaster when water rose from the earth to create a lake which rivalled the<a href=\"https:\/\/medicine.st-andrews.ac.uk\/medicine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2015\/06\/Caddies.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-86 size-medium alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/med.st-andrews.ac.uk\/medicine\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2015\/06\/Caddies-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a> Okavango delta in size.
