Emma, a local to St Andrews,\u00a0begins a\u00a0two year\u00a0Digital Support Modern Apprentice\u00a0where she will work with\u00a0different service units in the\u00a0School\u00a0as well as\u00a0having\u00a0the opportunity for\u00a0placements in other university departments.\u00a0While Emma\u00a0learns on the job by helping with the day to day running of the\u00a0School, she will participate in projects,\u00a0receive mentoring and training\u00a0from members of the\u00a0Professional\u00a0Services team\u00a0and also work towards an SCQF\u00a0Level 6\u00a0Digital Applications qualification delivered by\u00a0tech training and skills provider,\u00a0QA.\u00a0Emma will be assigned an assessor at QA who will\u00a0support her through the apprenticeship\u00a0by\u00a0developing a learning journey to compliment the work she will be doing at the\u00a0School.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Emma stated:\u00a0\u201cI have always been keen to work at the University of St Andrews\u2026it\u2019s my hometown and I know many people who have\u00a0worked\u00a0for\u00a0the university and loved it.\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0looking forward\u00a0to\u00a0meeting new people\u00a0as well as\u00a0learning and gaining experience which will help me with my future career.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Kara Kinnaird, PA to\u00a0Head of School and Dean of Medicine, who is working closely with Emma said: \u201cMy colleagues and I are\u00a0delighted to have Emma join us.
