Submitting an application for the second round of ScotGEM 2018 entry<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

The window to submit second round ScotGEM applications for 2018 entry is\u00a0<\/span>17<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0January<\/b><\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span>18<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0March 2018<\/b><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Please ensure you use the correct UCAS application process to apply before submitting an application. Otherwise, it may result in your application not being considered.\u00a0<\/span>We will not consider any late applications and we will not be entering Clearing. The two processes are outlined below:<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Normal UCAS application process:<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
If you have not submitted any UCAS application for 2018 entry or 2019 deferred entry (no matter the subject), then you are eligible to apply through the usual UCAS route. Please see the UCAS website for guidance on completing and submitting your application:\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/www.ucas.com\/<\/span><\/a>. Applications can be submitted from the\u00a0<\/span>17<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0January until the 18<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0March 2018.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
UCAS Extra application process:<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
UCAS Extra is open from the 25<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0February until the 4<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0July 2018. To be considered for ScotGEM you can submit your application between the\u00a0<\/span>25<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0February and 18<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span>\u00a0March 2018<\/b><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
–<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>If you used all your choices on your application, have received decisions from all your choices, and either weren\u2019t accepted, declined the offers you received or withdrew from your choices, you will be able to use Extra.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
–<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>If you did not use all your choices in your initial application,\u00a0you may be eligible to add another choice in UCAS Track, as long as you\u2019ve not accepted or declined any offers. Please check with the UCAS Customer Team (<\/span>www.ucas.com<\/span><\/a>) that you are eligible to do this before submitting another choice.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
–<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>If you have withdrawn from your original choices, for whatever reason, then you will need to wait until Extra is open before being able to apply.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

UKCAT SJT \/ SJTace<\/u><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In addition to the GAMSAT, all applicants must sit (or have sat) the UKCAT SJT \/ SJTace. Candidates who have sat the 2017 UKCAT do not need to sit the SJTace.\u00a0 Their UKCAT result (which includes an SJT banding) will be communicated to all their university choices. Candidates\u00a0intending to apply for ScotGEM entry in 2018 are required to sit the SJTace by<\/span>\u00a013 April 2018.\u00a0<\/b><\/span>
\n<\/b><\/span>
\nThere are no general exemptions from the test.\u00a0 Candidates who believe they may be unable to sit the SJTace should see the information on Mitigating Circumstances. A candidate may only take the test once in any test cycle and any instances of multiple\u00a0testing\u00a0in the same cycle will be treated as an example of\u00a0unprofessional behaviour.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
