{"id":3377,"date":"2017-01-13T15:01:49","date_gmt":"2017-01-13T15:01:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medicine.st-andrews.ac.uk\/?p=3377"},"modified":"2017-01-13T15:01:49","modified_gmt":"2017-01-13T15:01:49","slug":"higgs-prize-for-physics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medicine.st-andrews.ac.uk\/news\/higgs-prize-for-physics\/","title":{"rendered":"First Year Student wins Higgs Prize for Physics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First year student Daniel Johnstone has been awarded the Higgs Prize for Physics for 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The Higgs Prize was established by the Scottish Government in recognition of the impact Nobel Physics Prize winner Professor Higgs&#8217; theoretical work has had on modern day particle physics.
