Henry Rae has organised a series of Technician Visits to the University of St Andrews.  These events are supported by Professor Verity Brown, Vice-Principal, Enterprise and Engagement and are set up and delivered by technicians.  Each event has 2 components, firstly a tour and talk about the work the particular technician performs and secondly this part will be used for networking.  Each event will last approximately 2 hours. The aim is to improve the knowledge technicians have about other technicians in an effort to improve the way they communicate and assist each other.

The first event took place in the School of Medicine, with the second having taken place in the School of Physics Mechanical Workshop, Cryogenics and Clean Room.

Several more visits are planned throughout the summer in various departments within the University.
