The Surgical Society hosted their annual National Undergraduate Conference on the 7th of April in the School of Medicine.  The event was exceptionally well attended, invigorating interest from across Scotland.  Prominent paediatric surgeons, with sub-specialities including neonatal surgery and neurosurgery, shared their expertise through a series of fascinating lectures over the course of the morning.  A research poster presentation followed during lunch break.  The immersive day concluded with a series of professionally lead clinical workshops where delegates practiced key skills such as paediatric CPR or airway management.

“With medicine evolving and the society passionate as ever, I’m excited to see the annual conference expand in the years to come.” – Jakub Foytl, President 2017/2018
