On Saturday the 5th of March Henry Rae led a team from the School of Medicine in the annual Science Discovery Day in the School of Physics.

The target audience was anyone with an interest in science, but particularly families.  There were about 100 (!) volunteers and 700+ visitors throughout the day, which ran from 10:00 until 16:00 in the Physics & Astronomy building.  Activities on offer ranged from short talks to longer talks, hands-on activities, static displays and interactive exhibits and demonstrations.  We get many repeat visitors who come year after year.  This event leaves a great impression on visitors.

Many thanks to the team, Mike Fearon, Emma Stewart, Maciej Antkowiak, Wardiya Afshar and the Heart Start team, Hamish Tait, Andy Owen, Kirsty Drummond, Kirsty Hastie and Rhona Crabbe who all did a wonderful job on the day.
