Henry Rae won the University’s Public Engagement Individual Achievement Award on Friday the 26th of October. There was stiff competition from throughout the university including the School of Medicine. Ruth Bowness was also awarded a silver badge for her contributions to public engagement.

This award recognises an individual’s record of sustained excellence in engaging different audiences with research through a range of activities and in supporting others to engage.

Good nominations included two or more of the following:

o At least three years of engagement activity

o Evidence of supporting others with their own engagement activity

o Engagement with a variety of audiences, through a range of different channels
