On 26 June, Director of Research Prof. Frank Sullivan was a keynote speaker at the Health Informatics Centre‘s 20th anniversary event: “HIC 20 in 24: Navigating the Future of Research Data.” HIC, based at the University of Dundee, supports high-impact research through the collection and management of population-based data. Prof. Sullivan’s talk was entitled, “HIC: From a pioneering new centre to a Trusted Research Environment.”
As well as established researchers, the event also drew students, including Health Data Science MSc candidate Wenyan Kong. Reflecting on her experience, Miss Kong said, “This wonderful event has given me insight into HIC’s remarkable history over the past 20 years and its vision for the future. Thank you, HIC, for providing us with such a fantastic platform for health data research that brings people together.”
