lab2Part of the University Wellbeing and Engagement Group’s calendar of health and wellbeing activities (the theme for April is ‘cancer awareness and prevention’), Dr Paul Reynolds (School of Medicine) delivered a talk on cancer research at the University followed by a lab tour.  Since 1 in 2 of us will get some form of cancer during our lifetimes, the cancer awareness campaign is a reminder that we can all reduce our risk by making healthy lifestyle choices.  Dr Reynolds described some of the facts and figures about cancer and that >40% of cancer in the UK is linked to lifestyle and environmental risk factors.  lab1a
