image003On Thursday 22 October CAHRU launched its extensive report on the health and behaviour of Scottish children at an event in Edinburgh attended by the key stakeholders in this area and the commissioning body (NHS Health Scotland).  This is the 7th Scottish Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study, building on surveys carried out in 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010.  The study offers key indicators on health, wellbeing and social context of young people in Scotland and provides trends over a 24-year period.  Moreover, this is part of an international study that covers 43 other countries.  International comparison will be available once the international report is launched in March 2016.  The launch event garnered extensive media attention including items on both the BBC and STV news, coverage on the BBC news website, and articles in the Scotsman, The Herald, the Express, the Daily Record and The Times (where it was the basis for the lead story on the front page).

Additional coverage can be seen in The Times, The Daily Mail and The Courier.
