It presents a unique and critical challenge to healthcare systems globally and prevention of this often catastrophic illness is vastly preferable to cure of an established infection. We aim to develop an interdisciplinary Global Research Centre addressing neonatal sepsis in Scotland and Africa.<\/p>\n
This Centre will initially bring together established experts from across the UK and Africa to develop innovative healthcare solutions to improve survival rates and health outcomes for vulnerable newborns. Collaborating with NHS Fife and leveraging expertise across Schools including Medicine, Geography and Sustainable Development, Mathematics and Statistics and Philosophy, this GRC will foster sustainable solutions to prevention of neonatal sepsis.
