Colleagues in Uganda have recently completed a study comparing the anterior segment loupe of the Arclight with a <\/span>hand held<\/span> slit lamp. No difference in diagnostic accuracy or time to diagnosis was found amongst a group of clinical officers who preferred the Arclight for its low cost, <\/span>portability<\/span> and ease of use.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n To help field graders in evaluating active trachoma a thumbnail sticker has also been developed to be used in conjunction with the Arclight or Alice head torch.
