Faculty of Science Town Meeting on Research

Faculty of Science Town Meeting on Research
Tuesday 30th May 2006
2 to 5pm, Lower College Hall

We invite all staff in the Faculty of Science to a Town Meeting which will address interdisciplinary research funding opportunities across the environmental, life, medical and physical sciences. The programme will consist of several short narratives from selected researchers who have been successful in raising significant levels of funding for major collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects. These presentations will be  followed by discussion sessions to allow researchers from across the sciences to interact and identify collaborative opportunities. The first half of the programme will include presentations by Professors Ian Boyd, Steve  Buckland, Jim Naismith, Wilson Sibbett and Andrew Whiten who will all talk about their experiences. There will be substantial time for networking via group discussions and the focus will be on promoting research linkages and further collaborative research grant applications.

Please confirm your attendance by email to Trish Starrs (ts29) by Wednesday May 26th  providing your Name, School and Area of Research.

We look forward to seeing you there.
