Zinc is crucial to normal immune function, where deficiencies lead to several known abnormalities in cellular immune responses. Despite this, very little is currently known of its precise roles at the cellular and molecular level. This project will focus on two aspects:

  1. Zinc as a regulator of immune complex clearance.
  2. The role of zinc in exosome formation.

These studies will provide core observations on how zinc influences immunity.
